Happy New Year to all the supporters of the Strong Families Care Center. In 2018, we celebrated our fifth year in operation and continue to grow our impact with 55 families being supported through our care center. The Ethiopian government has continued to request us to support more families than our original charter. God has seen our partnership between the Center, the Ethiopian Government, and the community we support grow in awesome ways. 

In late 2018, we established a partnership between Christ Church, our partner Strong Hearts, and the Ethiopia Orthodox Christian Church in the Washington DC area. In partnership with the Ethiopian Church, they have agreed to deliver our physical donations to Ethiopia when their church members are traveling home for visits. This is a significant development for our ministry as the Ethiopian Government has declared several state of emergencies the past few years making mission trip travel to Ethiopia difficult. We plan to have mission trips to Addis when things calm down, but in the meantime, we can still get donations delivered to the Center through our partnership. 

Your generous donations and the Church benevolence take care of the day-to-day operational costs. There is a need for physical donations with our current children and new families joining Strong Families Care Center. If you or someone you know would like to make a contribution, I have included a list of the needed items which can be dropped off at Christ Church. The ministry will arrange for the donations to be sent to D.C. for delivery to Ethiopia.
